When I was 8, I stood there while my piano teacher told my parents they should quit paying for lessons because my hands were never going to be big enough for me to be a decent player.
It wouldn’t matter to her that those same hands type out the words spoken by my heart and earn my entire income.
When I was in high school, this guy I worked with at the local laser tag arena labeled me “Chicken Legs” because my legs were so skinny.
It didn’t matter to him that those legs won state soccer games and the state tennis tournament.
And today as an grown arse woman, when someone sends a snarky message or leaves a rude comment…it doesn’t matter to me because I know who I am and what I stand for.
We gain so much freedom when we replace caring about the opinions of others with positive resolution in our own value + journey! When we do this, we step into the rare air of
self-acceptance self-love. And it is there we realize there is no limit to what we can do in this lifetime.
And what a beautiful gift to give ourselves.
